Our President and Patrons are Fringe alumni whose careers wouldn’t have been the same without the Fringe. They act as ambassadors and advocates for this amazing festival, celebrating the Fringe and what it stands for all around the world.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge - President of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society

The honorary position, which is the first of its kind, will see Waller-Bridge act as a representative and advocate for the Fringe Society, the charity that exists to support everyone who wants to participate in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Eddie Izzard - first alumni Patron

As our first Patron, Eddie will represent the idea that the Fringe Society is the charity that underpins the Fringe and supports the Fringe to fulfil its vision – to give anyone a stage and everyone a seat.

Brian Cox - newest Patron of the Fringe

Star of stage and screen Brian Cox joins fellow Patron Eddie Izzard and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society’s honorary President, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, as ambassadors for the festival.
