We are thrilled to introduce a US strand of the Keep it Fringe fund for 2025, after the initial success of the UK Keep it Fringe fund in 2023.

The US Keep it Fringe fund will provide US-based artists with a financial bursary alongside a comprehensive support package of events and one-to-one advice to empower them to thrive at next year’s Fringe.

Donations of all size are welcome, however, for 2024 we are offering Founding Funder acknowledgement for the below values:

Principal Founding Funder    $75,000
Major Founding Funder    $50,000
Founding Funder    $30,000
Founding Contributor    $15,000

All donors over $15,000 will be acknowledged online each year with Founding Supporters recognised for their support from 2024 to 2026. We will also host special events for Keep it Fringe supporters in our new Fringe home in Edinburgh when it opens in 2025 as well as potentially in the US.

A massive thank you to our Founding Supporters: JetBlue, Playbill, Heather and Paul Innella and Scott and Holly Plank.

By supporting the US Keep it Fringe fund, you can nurture the next generation of American talent and help us break barriers to participation in the arts. Simply click on the donate button below and enter ‘US Keep it Fringe’ when asked ‘How do you want the money to be used?’.

An enormous Fringe Society thank you to our US Advisors: Chris Crouch, Ian Houston, Paul Innella, Molly Morris, Scott Plank and Ellen Tupman.

In 2024 we returned to the US in January to participate in the International Society for Performing Arts Congress. As part of the programme we held a workshops for prospective Fringe artists on the festival environment and how to make the most of it, alongside a networking event for both artists and industry.

This was followed by a trip to New York in April to participate in Tartan Week (with thanks to the Scottish Business Network Tartan Challenge program for making this possible) to raise awareness of our fundraising campaign to support US artists thrive at the Fringe and build on our connections.

Alongside marching in the Tartan Day Parade down Sixth avenue, we also hosted a reception with Fringe Patron Eddie Izzard and US-based Fringe artists to raise the profile of the US Keep it Fringe initiative (with thanks to Playbill for supporting the event).

Fringe Society and friends at the Tartan Day Parade

The trip was a fantastic success, with many new friendships struck up and promising plans made for the future of the Fringe. We'd like to thank everyone we met for the warm welcome we received.

We look forward to future activity in the US, promoting the relationship between the festival and the USA and to continually building relationships with our US supporters.
